The World is Flat

We love good books, especially free ones, and we especially love free good books that you can listen to while driving, working out or whatever.

So we’re happy to pass on a tip from reader Ryan Chapman, who alerted us in the comments about a promotion from Pulitzer Prize winning author Thomas Friedman. You can get a free audio version of his best-seller The World is Flat, here until Aug. 4.

From the publisher:

“The World is Flat is Thomas L. Friedman’s account of of the great changes taking place in our time, as lightening-swift advances in technology and communications put people all over the globe in touch as never before — creating an explosion of wealth in India and China, and challenging the rest of us to run even faster just to stay in place.”

The giveaway is a promotion for Friedman’s upcoming new book, Hot, Flat and Crowded, a chapter of which is also included in the promotion.

The economy is struggling, mortgage lenders are going under, the foreclosure rate is going sky high, and no one knows what’s next.

What do you do if you’re about to lose the roof over your head?

OneCoach CEO John Assaraf will be among the guests addressing that question on Larry King Live, tonight, July 30 at 6 p.m. Pacific (9 p.m. Eastern). Tune in to hear John’s perspective on how to keep the right mindset now amidst so much gloom and doom.

You can send questions to John and other guests by e-mail or video at the Larry King Live site here.

Have you ever wondered how a peanut butter manufacturer went from the bottom of the pile to the top of the heap by using just four words in their advertising… and the four words never even MENTION peanut butter or how it tastes?

Choosy mothers choose Jif.

What gives? Why did this work? What magic spell did these four words cast over American mothers that practically forced them to buy Jif peanut butter?

Register now for this week’s OneCoach Momentum Call, and we’ll show you how you can profit from the exact same approach, no matter what business you’re in.

OneCoach Regional Director Adrian Ulsh is going to share with you the secret formula he has used to help OneCoach clients separate their businesses from their competition, and make prospects feel like they would be fools to buy from anyone else. The result, of course, is ongoing growth in revenue and profits.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Implement a simple, easy-to-follow marketing equation
  • Understand how to apply the principles of persuasive marketing
  • Instantly attract new clients to your business, whenever you want
  • Reduce or even eliminate your entire marketing and advertising budget for good

Reserve your spot now, because we have limited lines available.

This is the second in a series of posts excerpted from a conference call between OneCoach CEO John Assaraf and Tony Rubleski, president of Mind Capture Group. See the first post in this series here.

As the CEO of your own company, you are in sales and marketing, whether you like it or not. Thusly, there are many societal forces we must contend with in order to dominate the market. And whether you realize it or not, you are constantly engaged in the battle for mind capture and getting attention. Those who can persuade the most effectively, call it sales or influence, will win and pass their ideas or their innovations onward.

And so, one of the first things you need to keep in mind is that the marketplace is not just skeptical, it’s cynical. This is because we are overloaded with so much marketing noise, so much hype in the media that we are very jaded towards advertisements.

There are simply too many choices out there, and the number of choices is only going to increase. Thomas Friedman’s book, The World is Flat, illustrates the impending fierce competition of India and China, and the need to raise the bar immediately – a tremendous resource for a snapshot of today’s marketplace and where it’s going. The point is if you think it’s tough now, imagine when these super powers kick it into high gear.

In my previous two posts we addressed the questions: How do I generate more profits per sale? and  How do I get more sales per customer?

The third question that every business owner should ask themselves every day is: How do I get more customers?

John and I have spent years learning the answer to this question. In fact we have taken this it to a whole different level by adding one critical word that, when you add it to this question, can skyrocket your business growth and help you achieve a whole new level of success.

Ask yourself: How do I get more of my ideal clients?
